Project Kenzie Girl

End-Of-Life Pet Sessions

In May 2022, my fiancé Joel and I rescued a 12 year old bull terrier, named Kenzie. Soon to be nicknamed, Kenzie Girl. That is why I have decided to call this offering “Project Kenzie girl.” She quickly became our whole world. She loved Joel, but her and I had a very strong bond. She went everywhere with me, she was the reason I started to walk every morning.

We knew rescuing a senior dog would be hard, beautiful, rewarding, and heartbreaking. Kenzie passed away May 31st 2023, about one year after she came home with us. She had been slowly declining 2 weeks leading up to her passing, and we discovered at a vet visit that she had a cancerous mass on her tummy. With her heart murmur she would have not survived the surgery. I held her until her last breath, she is pain free, and at peace.  We are devastated, the hurt will never really go away. But we know that we gave her last year meaningful, fun and relaxing.

I know how it feels to see your fur baby grow older, and when the time comes I am here to help in any way I can.

I offer free End Of Life Pet Sessions, all over Western MA and Northern CT. If you are farther there may be a travel fee applied to cover gas, otherwise free.

Donations are accepted, but no set price. Client will receive 20 digital images via email  to download + print.

If you feel called to reach out, please do! I would love to help capture a beautiful memory of you and your love bugs.

Please allow up to 24 hours for a response.

Thank you,

Grace

Meetups For Pet Grief

As I'm going through grief with the loss of my fur baby, Kenzie. I was trying to find accessible free or low cost support groups where you can connect with people who have gone through losing a pet. While I have been providing free end of life pet photoshoots for almost three years locally, I wanted to also offer Pet Grief Circles.

These meetups are where you can connect with local individuals outdoors at a beautiful, peaceful location in Westfield MA. Along with zoom meetings as I have quite a few online supporters. A space to talk about your experience, validate those around you, listen and gather information on how to support a loved one who is going through a loss.

All are welcome, come as you are. Please message me directly or comment below and I will send you additional information.

First meeting, Westfield MA outdoor location (weather permitting, zoom call if rainy or uncomfortable weather.) June 25th 3:00 p.m.

Also planning to livestream it.
